Defence mitigation is a characteristic that ignores target’s Defence points by a certain percentage. It has no effect on shields and it deals normal damage to target with no Defence points. In combat, it is indicated by a bold damage marker.
As an example:
- A target with 100 Defence Points;
- 10% Defence Mitigation.
In this situation, 10% Defence Mitigation is equivalent to fighting a target with 10% less Defence Points (100 * 0.9 = 90 Defence Points). Only a Defence mitigation source deals increased damage to a target: all other damage sources (your or other players’ equipment without Damage mitigation) deal damage as usual.
- Multiple Defence Mitigation sources work independently of one another. For instance, if you have two Retaliators (one with a 50% Defence Mitigation and another with a 60% effect), each will reduce a target’s Defence by its respective value independently (50%—for Retaliator 1 and 60%—for Retaliator 2) but the overall mitigation effect will not stack;
- All Titans’ weapons have Defence Mitigation characteristic.
