In War Robots, an item can have a special edition version of it. It usually can be obtained during theme specific events or there’s no simple way to get it outside events.
Robots.
Unlike paint jobs that let you customize the way your robots look, a special edition robot is a separate remodeled unit with a unique appearance. It is bound to the robot and cannot be applied to others. Also, you can’t apply any paint jobs to it. All special edition robots add a 10% extra durability to compensate their inability to use Legendary paint jobs.
NOTE: The change in robot’s durability (+10%) is not displayed in hangar. And the same goes for the rest bonuses from from modules, boosters, or pilots.
Equipment.
It is, too, a remodeled unit with a unique appearance. Usually available as a prize during theme-specific events. It's not more powerful than its original version (if there's one). There’s no option to switch between a regular and special edition appearances.
